Now Hiring - Development Manager
We are hiring a Development Manager to create and implement a fundraising plan to help us grow as a new nonprofit in the Dayton area and support our new extension, Gem City Vet. Gem City Vet is a nonprofit veterinary clinic in Trotwood offering low-cost wellness services to pets in low-income families. The Development Manager will report to the Executive Director and work closely with the Gem City Catfe and Gem City Kitties staff. We’re looking for someone that enjoys building programs, working collaboratively with a team, and advocating for animals in our community.
As a small and growing nonprofit, the focus will rotate throughout the year between the responsibilities listed below. Each area will not run concurrently initially and there will be support and flexibility to prioritize top initiatives.
SCHEDULE + PAY: $16-18/hour, full time or-part time, non-exempt. Some weekday time must be available for meetings and set hours on site, but we are open to working with candidates to set a work schedule that fits applicants’ needs and the needs of GCK. A work laptop and Google Voice number will be provided.

A Note to Potential Candidates:
Studies have shown that women, trans, non-binary folks, and BIPOC are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they meet every single one of the qualifications as described in a job description. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive organization, and we are most interested in finding the best candidate for the job. That candidate may be one who comes from a background less traditional to our field of work, and that’s okay. We would strongly encourage you to apply, even if you don't believe you meet every one of the qualifications described.
